2. Interpretation---In these regulations,--- ``The Act'' means the Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977: ``Society'' means--- (a) Any corporation sole, association of persons (whether incorporated or not), or local or affiliated branch of any such association, that is established and conducted entirely for any purpose other than a commercial one; and (b) A society, as defined in paragraph (a), that is licensed under section 8 of the Act to conduct a game of chance involving the use of 1 or more gaming machines.
