EXPLANATORY NOTE This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect. These regulations, which come into force on the 28th day after the date of their notification in the Gazette, reduce the southern bluefin tuna quota for the 1995-96 fishing year from 420 tonnes to 404.73 tonnes. The amount of the reduction is equal to the amount by which the quota was overfished in the preceding fishing year. ------ Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
