2. Quota for southern bluefin tuna imposed---The principal regulations are hereby amended by revoking regulation 4, and substituting the following regulation: ``4. (1) Subject to subclause (2) of this regulation, a quota of 420 greenweight tonnes is hereby imposed on the taking of southern bluefin tuna in any fishing year to which these regulations apply. ``(2) For the fishing year commencing on the 1st day of October 1995 and ending on the 30th day of September 1996 the quota for southern bluefin tuna shall be 404.73 greenweight tonnes. ``(3) As soon as practicable on becoming aware that the quota for southern bluefin tuna for any fishing year has been reached, the chief executive of the Ministry shall notify each holder of a fishing permit that authorises its holder to take southern bluefin tuna of that fact in writing.''
