EXPLANATORY NOTE
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate
their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 February 1994, alter
certain fees payable under the Land Transfer Act 1952, and impose
certain new fees.
The current flat fee of $46 payable in respect of all dealings is
replaced by a fee of $10 for registration, deposit, or filing, and a
lodgement fee of $15. In addition, however, a survey maintenance fee of
$90 becomes payable on all transfers.
A multiple title fee of $5 for every title (after the first) affected
by a dealing is introduced.
The deposit fee for a plan is increased from $45 to $80.
The fee for a new title is increased from $70 to $90.
The fee for a guaranteed search is reduced from $15 to $10.
A fee of $5 will be charged for a copy of a plan.
Other fees are not affected.
