                           FIRE CONTROL FINANCE

   41. Liability for costs---In this Act the term ``costs'', in relation
 to fire control measures, includes all expenditure, whether by way of
 wages and other remuneration, charges, expenses, losses, and other
 outgoings properly incurred or suffered, or otherwise, and, without
 limiting or restricting the foregoing general provision, includes in
 particular---
   (a) Charges for the use of any apparatus at usual hire or supply
         rates; and
   (b) Salaries, wages, and other remuneration (including overtime or
         penal rates, bonuses, food, clothing, and other usual supplies
         and provisions appropriate to the work) of all officers,
         servants, and employees of the Fire Authority---

 for the time they are required for or engaged on the work.
