7. Implementation of equal pay in other instruments---The provisions
 of section 6 of this Act shall, with the necessary modifications, apply
 with respect to every instrument that is not an award as if it were an
 award under the [Industrial Relations Act 1973], and as if---
   (a) In any case where the rates of remuneration payable under the
         instrument are to be fixed by an appropriate authority, the
         references in subsection (7) of that section to the parties to
         the instrument were references to that authority; and
   (b) In the case of an instrument having no expiry date, its term
         expired on the first anniversary of the date of its commencement
         that occurs on or after the 1st day of April 1973.

       The reference to the Industrial Relations Act 1973 was substituted
     for a reference to the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act
     1954 by s. 234 (2) (a) of the Industrial Relations Act 1973. See s.
     1 (2) of that Act.
