THE AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL SOCIETIES AMENDMENT ACT 1920

 An Act to amend the Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Act 1908
                                                   [3 September 1920

   1. Short Title---This Act may be cited as the Agricultural and
 Pastoral Societies Amendment Act 1920, and shall be read together with
 and deemed part of the Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Act 1908
 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act).

   2. Consent required for disposal of Crown-granted
 land---Notwithstanding anything in section 7 of the principal Act, a
 society under that Act shall not have authority to sell or exchange any
 lands derived by it from the Crown by way of grant or otherwise, whether
 derived before or after the passing of this Act, except with the
 precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council.

       As to exemption, see s. 4 (2) of the Palmerston North Showgrounds
     Act 1974.
