1. Short Title and commencement---(1) This Act may be cited as the
 Films, Videos, and Publications Classification Act 1993.

   (2) Sections 2 and 5, Part VI, section 149, and sections 174 to 177 of
 this Act, and the First Schedule to this Act, shall come into force on
 the day after the date on which this Act receives the Royal assent.

   (3) Except as provided by subsection (2) of this section, this Act
 shall come into force on a date to be appointed by the Governor-General
 by Order in Council; and one or more Orders in Council may be made
 appointing different dates for different provisions and for different
 purposes.
