Submissions on Applications
96. Making of submissions---(1) Any person may make a submission to a
consent authority about an application for a resource consent that is
notified in accordance with section 93.
(2) Every submission shall be in writing, shall be served on the
consent authority, and shall state---
(a) The reasons for making the submission and the decision that the
person wishes the consent authority to make, if known by the
person making the submission, and the general nature of any
conditions sought; and
(b) Whether or not the person making the submission wishes to be heard
in respect of the submission; and
(c) Any other matter prescribed in regulations made under this Act.
(3) A submission may state whether it is in support of, or in
opposition to, the application.
(4) A person who makes a submission shall serve a copy of it on the
applicant as soon as reasonably practicable after serving the submission
on the consent authority.
