Matters to be considered by regional council
66. Matters to be considered by regional council---(1) A regional
council shall prepare and change any regional plan in accordance with
its functions under section 30, the provisions of Part II, its duty
under section 32, and any regulations.
(2) In addition to the requirements of section 67 (2), when preparing
or changing any regional plan, the regional council shall have regard
to---
(a) Any proposed regional policy statement in respect of the region;
and
(b) The Crown's interests in land of the Crown in the coastal marine
area; and
(c) Any---
(i) Management plans and strategies prepared under other Acts;
and
(ii) Relevant planning document recognised by an iwi authority
affected by the regional plan; and
(iii) Regulations relating to the conservation or management
of taiapure or fisheries; and
(iv) Regulations made under this Act, including regulations
made under section 43,---
to the extent that their content has a bearing on resource
management issues of the region; and
(d) The extent to which the regional plan needs to be consistent with
the regional policy statements and plans, or proposed regional
policy statements and proposed plans, of adjacent regional
councils.
