Board of inquiry
47. Board of inquiry---(1) A board of inquiry appointed under section
46 shall---
(a) Comprise not fewer than 3, and not more than 5, members; and
(b) Have a presiding member appointed either by the Minister or, if
the Minister declines to do so, by the members.
(2) Every board of inquiry shall be a statutory Board within the
meaning of the Fees and Travelling Allowances Act 1951 and there may, if
the Minister so directs, be paid to any member of the board of inquiry,
out of money appropriated by Parliament for the purpose,---
(a) Remuneration by way of fees, salary, or allowances in accordance
with that Act; and
(b) Travelling allowances and travelling expenses in accordance with
that Act in respect of time spent travelling in the service of
the board of inquiry---
and the provisions of that Act apply accordingly.
