9   National executive committee




   9. National executive committee---(1) There shall be a standing
 committee of the Council, to be called the national executive committee.

   (2) The national executive committee shall consist of the chairman of
 the Council, who shall preside, and 2 other members of the Council.

   (3) The members of the national executive committee (other than the
 chairman of the Council) shall be elected by the members of the Council,
 and shall hold office during the pleasure of the Council.

   (4) Subject to the control of the Council, the national executive
 committee shall be responsible for the management and direction of the
 affairs of the Council.

   (5) At every meeting of the national executive committee, 2 members of
 the committee (including the chairman) shall be a quorum.

   (6) At every meeting of the Council, the national executive committee
 shall report to the Council on the operations of the committee since the
 previous meeting.

   (7) Subject to this Act, to any rules made under section 22 of this
 Act, and to the control of the Council, the national executive committee
 may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.
