   23. Proceedings to be in accordance with Magistrates' Courts Act
 1947---(1) The provisions of the Magistrates' Courts Act 1947 shall
 apply to all proceedings under this Act.

   (2) Nothing in this Part of this Act shall restrict section 441 of the
 Maori Affairs Act 1953.
